Education
Senior, Double majors in Animal Sciences - Equine and Food Science at Auburn University. I am currently finishing up my degrees and directly transferring into the Graduate program here. I was homeschooled throughout high school and am familiar with alternative education methods, as well as ways to "break the mold" when traditional methods aren't working. I completed my high school education and received a full scholarship with an ACT score of 36 in reading and 29 in math.
Experience
I enjoy helping others, especially if I can help you understand why we learn certain subjects and how they can apply to your future. I understand that students learn in many different ways and want to help you find the best fit for you. I have served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for multiple courses and a supplemental instruction leader (group tutor), a peer mentor, and a student website representative while at Auburn (for further descriptions of these positions, please feel free to ask!). I plan to follow my career to the PhD level and pursue a career in research and education. Science is my specialty, especially related to food science (including microbiology and chemistry) and animal science (including genetics and biological statistics). Some courses I have taken include: General Chemistry I & II, World History I & II, Microbiology, General Biology, Organic Chemistry I & II, Biochemistry (for Agricultural majors), Food Chemistry, Food Safety, Anatomy and Physiology I & II, World Literature, Public Speaking, and Animal Sciences (including Nutrition, Breeding, Reproductive Physiology).
