In my practice as a tutor, I use a student-based technique that allows me to truly listen and focus on a student's knowledge and skill set as well as their own unique learning style. I strive to maintain an engaging environment by relating subjects and problems to real world situations. With a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Williams College, as well as my current academic career seeking a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics, I am well equipped to tutor many Math and Science courses, including computer science and engineering. In addition to my education, I have experience tutoring undergraduate students as well as in a graduate assistantship position at the teacher development center at Penn State. These experiences have given me a solid understanding of effective teaching practices. Many of the students that I have had the privilege to tutor have been vocal about the great experiences they had learning with me, and many continue to meet with me regularly. Some of the many subjects I tutor include Trigonometry, Middle School Math, AP Calculus, Test-Prep, Algebra, and Physics. When not tutoring I enjoy long distance running in Auburn, Alabama.
