I am a National Board Certified Teacher: Early Childhood-Generalist with 8 years of teaching experience at the K-2 level. I am a certified teacher in both Alabama (K-6) and Georgia (Pre-K to 8th). I have a B.S. and M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Auburn University. My teaching experience includes teaching all subject areas and skills such as reading, phonics, alphabet/sound recognition, decoding, reading comprehension, fluency, writing, editing/revising, spelling, handwriting, mathematics, measurement, time, money, addition, subtraction, word problems, number sense, science, social studies, health, and character education. I have experience in teaching students who are gifted, at-risk, ESOL/ESL, and students with special needs. My passion is with students at the Pre-K to 2nd grade level. I love watching the growth of my students and helping each one to become excited about reading, writing, and learning new things! I am a very patient person who always strives to challenge myself and research new ways to become even better at my profession.
